Description

Wat Pho is an amazing place to visit in Bangkok, Thailand. It is a large complex filled with many intricately detailed spires and temples. Wat Pho is known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Inside one of the buildings is the huge reclining buddha 150 feet (46 meters) long. The temple complex houses the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand, over one thousand. The pointy structures in this photo are some of the chedis (Phra Chedi Rai) which contain the ashes of the royal family, and larger ones nearby contain the relics of Buddha.
