My husband Michael Walsh took this photo and I edited it. Christmas lights have been hung in Venice, Florida, and downtown is breathtaking. This is the entrance of downtown at the intersection of Tamiami Trail and Venice Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus stand at the sign wishing visitors, "Happy Holidays". Two rows of decorated palm trees line the median of Venice Avenue for a couple blocks, drawing many visitors at night. Venice is in Sarasota county on the west coast of Florida, and is known for its love of the arts and wonderful beaches. Many of the buildings were built in the 1920's which give the town its charm. This photo would make a great Christmas card.
