I made this image as a commission piece for a very special couple. Two sandhill cranes stand together at Lido Beach enjoying the warmth of the sun at sunset. The warm yellows show hope for the future. Sandhill cranes mate for life, and this symbolizes the deep love and commitment this couple has for each other as they face uncertain times. I am very honored they chose me to create this piece. I merged five images together to create this image and then edited it in a painterly style with brush strokes and canvas texture.
Lido Beach is known for its beautiful sugar white sand and its seclusion. It's a beautiful place to relax. Lido Beach sits on Lido Key on the west coast of Florida near Sarasota and is south of Longboat Key and Anna Maria Island. Siesta Key beach is to the south. St. Armand's Circle is nearby, a world famous upscale shopping area on Lido Key. St. Armand's Circle is across the Ringling Bridge from Sarasota and connects to Bird Key. Sarasota sits on Sarasota Bay on the Gulf Coast of Florida, just south of Bradenton and Tampa Bay. Sarasota is a very beautiful city with an elegant downtown. This is an incredible moment of light at sunset at Lido Beach.
