Description

Christmas lights have just been hung in Venice, Florida, and downtown is breathtaking. Two rows of decorated palm trees line the median of Venice Avenue for a couple blocks, drawing many visitors at night. There were so many pedestrians and cars I came back the next morning before sunrise, and had the street pretty much to myself. It was amazing. I was able to get a lot of photos before the sleepy town woke up. The moon shines in the starry sky. This is the corner of West Venice Avenue and Nokomis Avenue. You can see the Venice Wine and Coffee Company and Kilwin's. Venice is in Sarasota county on the west coast of Florida, and is known for its love of the arts and wonderful beaches. Many of the buildings were built in the 1920's which give the town its charm.
