Description
On a quiet country road in Manatee County, Florida, there is the most beautiful Watusi longhorn cow I have ever seen. He is so huge he can be seen far from the road. His name is Pierre, and he is a gentle giant. His horns are almost 4 feet long and about 6 inches in diameter. He stands almost 8 feet tall to the top of his horns. I got out of the car to photograph him, and the farmer stopped by to say hi. He called Pierre over and I was able to pet him. It was amazing! I have a series of photos of Pierre on my website.

Thank you, Rob! I appreciate your comment very much! Those cows are so fun to photograph - they stand there curious all the time.

What a cool shot, the small cow looks so curious and the large one is looking like Hey Liesl is the the right pose? Great work. L/F

Thank you, Norman, that's good to know about the area between Wimauma and Ft. Lonesome. I agree these animals are so gentle. It's surprising considering how huge they are!
