Description

On a quiet country road in Manatee County, Florida, there is the most beautiful Watusi longhorn cow I have ever seen. He is so huge he can be seen far from the road. His name is Pierre, and he is a gentle giant. His horns are almost 4 feet long and about 6 inches in diameter. He stands almost 8 feet tall to the top of his horns. I got out of the car to photograph him, and the farmer stopped by to say hi. He called Pierre over and I was able to pet him. It was amazing! I have a series of photos of Pierre on my website.

Terrific capture Liesl. There are also some on the road that goes between Wimauma and Ft. Lonesome. Gentle is the word for these magnificent beasts and they are rightly not afraid of anything.
