Description
The sun was hiding behind the clouds so I stood under the pier and looked at the water movement. I wanted to soften the water movement and create an ethereal and soothing mood, so I did a long exposure. I love the soft ripple patterns it created in the water. The soft blues and greys are cool colors bringing relief to a hot summer day. It's so peaceful hearing the waves moving through the pier towards the sand under my feet. It's a moment of quiet solitude right here on the beach. The fishing pier in Venice, Florida is a great place to watch the sunset at the end of the day. The pier extends 700 feet out into the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico, and is very tall. It is located in Brohard Park at the southern end of the island of Venice. There is a restaurant called Sharky's on the end of the pier. Caspersen Beach is just down the road where fossilized sharks teeth can be found. This is one of the most popular landmarks in Venice, Florida.
