Description
The fishing pier at Fort Desoto Park is a popular place for visitors. Dolphins often swim by and occasionally eat fish off a line. This pier looks out over the Gulf of Mexico and is near the entrance of Tampa Bay. Cruise ships can be seen leaving Tampa and sailing into the Gulf. This photo was taken at sunrise as a long exposure to get the soft water look and then turned into a black and white. Fort Desoto Park has a historical fort where you can see large cannons. The city of St. Petersburg is nearby.
