Description

The kissing sculpture by Seward Johnson is a popular landmark at the Sarasota Bayfront area of Sarasota, Florida. It is titled, "Unconditional Surrender". It stands between the waters of Sarasota Bay and the busy road. Many cars go by to see this 25 foot tall statue. In 2012 a vehicle ran into the sculpture, opening a 3 foot wide area of the sailor's shoe. Thankfully it was repaired and returned to its spot before the end of the year. Many people pose in front of the sculpture for photographs.
