The Rod and Reel Pier on Anna Maria Island is a historic tourist landmark that has been open since 1947. It has a restaurant and bar with an amazing view into the Gulf of Mexico with the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in the far distance. People fish on the deck. The Sunshine Skyway Bridge connects St. Petersburg to Palmetto in the Tampa Bay area. This is usually a busy place, but early in the morning I was able to get a sunrise photo with few people around. Anna Maria Island is a beautiful quaint seaside town near Bradenton on the west coast of Florida . It has the Old Florida feel that people love so much.
